Paintings.
Photorealism Paintings having for subject the human body, compositions mainly treated in diptychs, mix with texts, signs or materials (fabric, paper, objects). Beginning of the process of destruction-rebuilding which will reappear in photography.

Photography
In 2002, following an illness, he stops painting and discovered photography, which opened new spaces and new prospects. His work oscillates between the various worlds of the image, painting and photography, the past and the present, reality and memories: a confrontation with the time, passes. One is far from a photographic work who aims to document reality. P. Bergougnoux chooses to preserve or obliterate additional details. The time spent processing the picture on the computer is comparable to that expended by a painter in their studio. The images, presented in the form of series, then consist of photographic fragments, and fragments which are due to the gesture of the painter. He works from memory and the questioning of its representation in report/ratio with his former medium of painting from which he draws the basis of his current work as a photographer. That they take as a starting point banal objects or places, his photography speaks to us about stories, memories, emotions and lost feelings. The body will remake an appearance in the next series of photography.
