A word on the work.
It's like a game. A dialogue or maybe a monologue. I find myself staring into space with a strong wish to speak. I play. The work always seems like it is in process and asking to be changed. Working freely and fast, the representations and ideas are given space to develop and change during the working process. The work shows banal ideas and images. They are a memory of my passed or a feeling about my future. I am exploring surfaces and line without a clear goal. I use objects to represent other things. Ideas and memories are everywhere and at times caught and swooshed into a form or frame. They become like a faded mixed up memory. The paintings, drawings and installations do not inhabit a logical narrative. The images of objects recur in a simple, almost childish way and I have to deal with them. Everything is hung, and I use this as an image for misplacement. It is a need to preserve what can't be preserved. The result is like a box full of useless treasures and memories. The feeling of misplacement that has always been there in different forms and formats has made me want the choice and freedom to do what I want and to play. At times this can be called to create.
