Luciana Mariani:
Artista

Luciana was born is Buenos Aires on the 3rd June in 1976.

From when I was small I started to attend classes in painting, in an institute where I met my teacher who would teach me in painting for several years and in life until now; Claudia Castro. She gave up giving classes at the institute and rented an incredible studio. There I met Norberto Onofrio, a teacher of drawing, engraving, painting and everything that passes through their hands. With Norberto for drawing and Claudia for painting, they prepared me for entry into the university and gave me tools that I have used so far. I passed the entrance to I.U.N.A (National Graduate Institute of Arts) "Prilidiano Pueyrredon, and after five years and a few months, got the title of professor of fine arts.
In the year 1999. I already had my workshop, brushes, canvas and my oils ... the series of fetuses that were exhibited in several bars of Buenos Aires.
Later I exhibited a series of painted dolls, evidence from the past years.
In 2002 I went to Australia, where I lived for a year and a half and there I painted several paintings influenced by Aboriginal art and some South American art, like the ocean. These paintings were exhibited in the bars and galleries of Sydney, in a collective with other artists.
In 2003 I arrived in Barcelona; in the city where I live now and where I work hard on my series of hearts.
When I started to think about this series, my head was filled with organic forms, functional lines locked in organic structures ... and my future were born ... and I did not want to get away from this method. So, after thinking over and over again, the hearts started to form, a picture started to form, and here was born my next great artistic activity.

Search within, connecting with the organic, crashing against humanity, turning inwards and identifying with ourselves. The lines run images trying to connect with each other, both violently attacked almost organic forms and invades the red eyes, sometimes ... In the black darkness the play rests. It is mankind who observes, in a quest to understand it. "
