Robert Listwan was born in 1974 in communist Poland-land on Vistula River. The reality surrounding was gray because of communist rule in the country. Despite of that, Listwan as a child was already creating very colorful art.
A quarter of the century has past and Listwan is still creating his color crazy art but in much bigger scale now.
The limitations of watermelon in stores, the lack of personal computers and cell phones did not stand on the way for him to find inspirations on his work.
He creates the first series of paintings such as “CITY 7”, “PC030080”, “G69”, “BLUE” and many more.
Forty years after S.K’s A Clockwork Orange, Listwan as a young artist has discovered the opportunities and inspirations flowing from traveling to different countries and experiencing other cultures and as a result of this a new non synthetic series of work are created, such as: “IDOL” and “SCRAPYARD OF LAUGHTER” among others.
After watching the cult movie The Saragossa Manuscript, Listwan is motivated to travel to Spain. From here on and as a result of this trip he becomes an engine of inspiration and motivation for the creation of new work.
